Every member of our team is professional and well trained. We conduct a thorough screening and interviewing process to identify the best home care providers, and only those who pass this process go on to complete training to deliver our special brand of home care and become Comfort Keepers®. What truly sets our people apart, though, is their natural gift for caring for others. 

All Comfort Keepers pass extensive background checks and complete continuing education. They are bonded, insured and covered by workers' compensation insurance to protect our clients and their families.

Sarah Craig

Owner and General Manager

Sarah Craig is the Owner and General Manager of Comfort Keepers of Topeka, KS. We opened our doors June of 2002 and have been providing support and care for Topeka and the surrounding area for over 10 years. I was born and raised here and have a deep passion and commitment to elder care. I have been a Social Worker for over 20 years, working at the Menninger Foundation, Heart of America Hospice and now with Comfort Keepers.

Monica Epler

Human Resource Manager

Monica Epler is the Office and Human Resources Manager. It is my job to find and train the new Comfort Keepers Staff, and to have a working knowledge of all functions of the business. A Wyoming native, I moved to Topeka in 2009. I am the mother of 2 highly energetic boys that keep me on my toes. I am looking forward to traveling back to the mountains of Wyoming this summer to get married. I am excited to see what this year has in store for us.

Linda Clements

Scheduling Coordinator

I have been with Comfort Keepers since May 2010 and became the Scheduling Coordinator in July 2010. My duties include assigning the appropriate caregiver to the client, maintaining and/or adjusting caregivers' and clients' schedules as needed, and supervising the 60 caregivers on staff. I also assist tasks as needed in the office.

Alan Fund


Alan Fund has been a Comfort Keeper since October 2013.  Alan is married to his high school sweetheart, the father of three grown children, and grandfather to five.  He retired from Goodyear and has enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family... when he's not fishing, that is!

Alan is the epitome of what a good caregiver should be.  He's flexible, punctual, caring, easy-going, and has a great sense of humor which his clients enjoy.  His attention to detail and keeping his clients' appointments organized is excellent.  He never fails to keep the office informed of any new appointments for his clients or any changes in their behavior or health. Alan also likes to plan fun and different outings for his clients, even trying them out himself first!

We are so happy to have Alan on our team and helping our clients.

Harriet Goforth


Harriet Goforth has been with Comfort Keepers since June 2006. She is a single mother with two children.  Her son is a freshman in high school and her daughter is in college and recently got engaged.  Harriet keeps busy with her son's extracurricular activities and now is beginning the process of planning a wedding.  She is a busy lady!

Harriet is everything you want in a caregiver – skilled, punctual, honest, efficient, caring, and detail-oriented.  She takes on each client with an open mind and heart, and quickly gains their trust and confidence.  Her clients know she genuinely cares for them and will take care of their needs to the very best of her ability.  Harriet will rearrange her schedule as needed to make sure her clients receive the care they need from her.   

Harriet is one of the best caregivers this office has.  She is a walking advertisement for us!
